Manchester City announced a record-breaking revenue of £715 million for the 2023–24 season, once again rewriting the financial history books of English football.
This is more than the £712.8 million they made in the 2022–2023 season.
Aside from the Covid-affected 2019–20 season, the club declared a pre-tax profit of £73.8 million, continuing their run of success that began in the 2014–15 season.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the city’s chairman, has stressed the team’s unwavering pursuit of greatness.
“A hallmark of the organization we have become is our unwavering determination to aim for and accomplish the unprecedented,” he said.
“Deliberate and thorough planning, along with a common belief in the collaborative learning culture we have established, serve as the foundation for our enthusiasm for the next challenge both on and off the field.”
The Premier League’s investigation into 115 alleged financial violations by City has come to an end, and the record revenue announcement comes at the same time.
City is apparently prepared to appeal if the decision doesn’t go their way, even though a ruling is anticipated early next year.
