Victor Osimhen is a lifetime Chelsea supporter who aspires to play for the English team soon, according to William Troost-Ekong.
According to reports, Osimhen was on the verge of joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window but was unable to come to a deal with the Blues. He is now on loan at Galatasaray, the Turkish champions.
But Troost-Ekong’s disclosure might rekindle interest in a transfer.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Troost-Ekong said, “I can tell you he’s a Chelsea supporter, I can confirm that.”
Osimhen’s leadership and on-field performance were also praised by the defender, who called him a standout player and a valuable member of any team.
He is an excellent team player. He can be extremely avaricious in front of goal, but he also represents the club in the locker room.
Troost-Ekong went on, “He’s a true leader, and I’m sure he’ll be captain shortly.”
Troost-Ekong remarked, “During the training, we were extremely impressed,” in reference to Osimhen’s experience with the Super Eagles and his impressive 2019 debut as Odion Ighalo’s backup.
Chelsea, who are arguably in terrific form right now, would be a nice lure for the best player in Africa, even though teams like Paris Saint-Germain are apparently getting ready to make a move in January.
