Waris Olayinka Akinwande, a social media influencer who goes by Ola of Lagos, has shared a touching account of how he assisted his father in realizing goals he never believed were achievable.
Ola shared on Instagram that his father, Mr. Akinwande, had never been close to an airport, much less gone on an aircraft, in an encouraging post.
His first flight, however, was not just a significant event but also an emotional trip to Mecca, a place he had long wanted to see.
Throughout his life, my father, Mr. Akinwande, has never been close to an airport, much less taken a flight. In addition to being international, his first flight took him to a destination he had always wanted to see, he disclosed.
Ola also disclosed that he assisted his father in buying his first house, accompanied with photos of him and his father wearing Hajj-related Muslim prayer garments.
Previously a dedicated cyclist who worked hard to support his family with three square meals a day, Mr. Akinwande today has his own vehicle and several enterprises.
“He never dreamed he could buy a single block, but today, he has a house,” Ola said, describing his father’s story as a highly motivating one. My father, a biking man who now owns several businesses and drives his own car, put in a lot of effort to make sure we had three square meals.
I get a lot of inspiration from my dad’s story 🥹. He never imagined that he would accomplish all of this in his lifetime, but thank God 🙏.
I hope that each of us can put our parents first and make them happy.
I hope this gives you a little inspiration if you’re having a rough day: keep going; it’s never too late. Insha’Allah, may Allah reward us all. Ameen 🙏.Allah Akbar! 🙌
