Due to insufficient evidence, the rape accusation against French football player Kylian Mbappe has been dropped.
Marina Chirakova, the Swedish prosecutor, revealed this on Thursday.
She declared that the investigation into Mbappe’s alleged rape and sexual assault is now closed.
“The investigation is ended because, in my opinion, there is not enough evidence to move forward,” she said.
She did point out, though, that the football player has not been informed of any criminal suspicions.
