On Wednesday, the Nigerian National Grid revealed this in a tweet sent from its official X account.
The continuous grid failure has been lamented and denounced by Nigerians, who have demanded a long-term solution.
Eleven grid collapses have occurred since January 2024.
The grid crashed three times in a single week in October, resulting in blackouts.
The tweet said, “The big grid setback has occurred and the restoration is to begin.”
