After his tenure at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has said that he would not be managing another team.
Speaking on chef Dani Garcia’s YouTube channel, the 53-year-old clarified that although he is still committed to his current responsibilities, he has no plans to start again somewhere else after his time at City ends.
Guardiola declared, “I’m not going to manage another team.” “The entire training procedure and the idea of starting somewhere else—no, no, no! Perhaps a national squad, but that’s not the same. I believe it would be beneficial for me to stop.
The Spaniard, whose contract was extended until 2027, has won 18 trophies at City since 2016, including four Premier League titles in a row and the historic treble the previous two seasons.
He has, however, expressed a wish to try his hand at international football or maybe take a complete break.
But Guardiola’s top priority right now is improving City’s recent bad performance.
In their last nine games across all competitions, the reigning Premier League champions have only triumphed once.
Guardiola asked his team to get back to the fundamentals before City’s Champions League matchup with Juventus and their derby against Manchester United:
“It’s about improving the little things. We will continue to play the way we want to.
