In Edo State, an unidentified pastor was arrested after being paraded for having an affair with a married woman.
The pastor was carried throughout the village by locals after being hauled before the community leaders, according to a video that went viral online on Monday.
Later, the police took him into custody and brought him to the station.
However, online users have denounced the pastor’s arrest, claiming that there was no crime committed that called for an arrest.
They argued that adultery is not a crime and that the police should avoid becoming involved in some matters.
Given that two people participated in the act, some have questioned why the married woman was not paraded as well.
