The parliamentary election in Ghana is won by John Dumelo.

Actor and politician John Dumelo of Ghana has secured a place in the parliament after winning the parliamentary election.

With 40,561 votes, Dumelo, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) representing the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, won Saturday’s general elections for Ghana in 2024.

With 27,377 votes, he defeated Lydia Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the incumbent.

Remember how he lost the 2020 elections to Alhassan by a slim margin?

The 40-year-old politician pledged to fulfill his campaign promises and conveyed his sincere gratitude to his followers.

He promised to put in a lot of effort over the following four years to steer Ghana in the right path and implement significant reform.

“The people of Ghana have been demanding change, and they have demonstrated that they will vote you out if you don’t perform well or if you are conceited,” he said.

Everyone can learn a lot from this. The development of the populace and meeting their needs are more important than financial gain.
