Renowned preacher Pastor Leke Adeboye offers women who devote their time to well-known prayer livestream programs a provocative message.
Leke spoke to women who regularly participate in nightly and early morning prayer sessions with well-known pastors like Pastor Bolaji Idowu and Pastor Jerry Eze in a recent Instagram post.
Despite the messages they ingest on such platforms, many women are unable to maintain harmonious relationships with their fathers, spouses, and other family members, according to the son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG.
“Good morning to all the women who pray with Pastors Jerry and Bolaji at night and in the morning but who don’t talk to their fathers, husbands, or even their sisters. In the name of Jesus, I wish you all a happy Congress, a happy Shiloh, and a happy Experience 2024. “May our prayers and worships not be in vain,” he added.

Online responses to the post have been divided. While some have praised Pastor Leke for tackling a crucial topic with juggling spirituality with social and familial obligations, others have thought that the post unfairly disparaged women’s prayer practices and generalized them.
“My only question for you @lekeadeboye is how many body guards, military police, and hosts of angel armies do you walk around with,” @pastormildred responded in a quiz. Because 😂 😂😂😂😂
“Good morning to men who are joining NSPPD and NLP but cheating and keeping malice with their spouses,” said another user, @blessed_tomilola. I hope you have a happy prayer.
@funkyvisage_mua remarked, “What happened to saying to all the men and women or wives and husbands?” in response to the topic’s perceived sexism. Men who attend Redeem Sunday School to preach without speaking to their wives at home are something I know as well.
