Ani Ihedioramma Emmanuel, a chemistry teacher, has drawn interest from online users after his results from the 2024 UTME were made public.
The disclosure, which was made public by Educare CEO Alex Onyia on Twitter (now X), has sparked conversations on social media.
According to the report, the Chemistry student decided to retake the JAMB UTME even though he had previously been admitted to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
As per the statement made online by Alex Onyia, Emmanuel postponed his entrance to FUTO in order to compete with other students from his area in a scholarship competition.
He devoted his time to teaching chemistry to the youngsters in his community at this time, in addition to concentrating on his own academic goals.
Many were in awe of the chemistry teacher’s remarkable performance in the JAMB UTME, as he scored an astounding 306 out of 400.
His impressive results include 53 in English, 78 in math, 87 in physics, and 88 in chemistry, which put him in the top 0.5% of applicants with scores of 300 and higher.
Reactions from the Internet:
“Really wish I had the means, I would have loved to have this effort reproduced in my village,” stated @adim4christ. Bravo to you and your group. You guys are amazing. Extremely happy with your work. Chukwu went on to get nwannem.
“I hope the next ones will get some help with English, as I’ve seen the score is generally poor,” said @emybryan. With minimal assistance, these guys can easily achieve 350 and higher. Bravo to you and the group.
“Has anyone noticed that kids with scores over 300 seem to have a low score in English language?” asked @SilverandGold88. Do those who scored 320 or higher have English language proficiency in the 60s? Are these men really exceptionally good at English language but not any other topic by coincidence?
“I noticed that English is often an issue for students in villages and rural areas,” stated @kpakopikin in reference to the majority of Jamb findings.
@Madubuike”He took the chance, and it paid off,” Tobe remarked.I refer to delaying enrollment in order to fully pursue a scholarship as “going all in.”Nature herself will be aware that his plans A, B, C, and D are winning the scholarship. He ought to represent us in Kwechiri. “I’m hoping to meet him eventually.”
