Charly Boy says, “I stormed the airport with 3,000 bikes to save Eedris Abdulkareem from 50 Cent.”

Veteran musician Charly Boy has described how, in 2004, he broke up an altercation between American rapper 50 Cent and Eedris Abdulkareem.

In the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Charly Boy disclosed that as he was doing his hair, he got a call from Abdulkareem, who claimed that 50 Cent’s bouncers were abusing him.

He claimed to have halted his work and organized men to ride 3,000 bikes to the Murtala Muhammed Airport, where Abdulkareem was located.

After claiming to have been told by Abdulkareem, he showed up and confronted 50 Cent, Charly Boy recalled:

“Back then, all the motorbike riders would follow me if I waved my hand as I passed the motorcycle park. So I took nearly three thousand bikes and invaded the airport.

“I asked Eedris to explain what happened when I got to the airport. He told me that he was scheduled to perform with 50 Cent, so he went to sit in first class on the plane where the rapper was. His bouncers told him to leave because first class was not for Nigerian artists, but he refused, and they beat him up.

When his bouncer attempted to save him from them, they also beat him. 50 Cent knew what had transpired. I questioned where 50 Cent was after Eedris described his ordeal, and they pointed to an SUV. I then confronted him by getting into the SUV.

“The anxiety surrounding the airport with the bike men roaming about was already being seen by 50 Cent’s security crew.” That day, I was high too. “You are the one beating my people in their own country?” I asked 50 Cent. You arrived in Nigeria and are oppressing my people.
