Renowned Nigerian artist Omah Lay proudly identifies as one of the pioneers of the new generation of Afrobeats musicians.
He continues by saying that he has developed a unique musical style that he wants to see widely accepted in the business.
In a recent interview with London’s The Beat FM, Omah Lay said that his most recent song, “Holy Ghost,” perfectly captures the avant-garde style he is bringing to the Afrobeats scene.
“I’ve launched a new sound,” he declared. I believe that in 2024–2025, the sound that people associate with Afrobeats will shift. And I’m going to be among the new sound’s leaders.
“In 2024, you’ll hear more of my new Afrobeats sound, which I have started. Among them is “Holy Ghost.” In addition, I’m releasing an album. These fresh vibes will all be present on the record.
