Amidst the BBC article, an old clip of Nollywood actor Jim Iyke talking about his 2013 experience with Pastor TB Joshua’s church has surfaced.
Remember that famous video from years ago that went viral? It showed the actor going crazy at a church and stuttering incoherently while being restrained by men and having the pastor touch his hands?
Iyke, who has been open about the meeting, told Chude in an interview that he was in the chapel because of his mother.
The actor claimed that, in an attempt to help his mother heal, he did as advised and took her to church.

The young man went on to allege that they kept him sequestered in a suite and pushed him to come downstairs so he could attend the service.
Jim Iyke explained that he was under a lot of pressure from them to join the service, and he even chuckled when the preacher in person passed by and carried on with his work.
He explained that his sister had told him to stop himself because she didn’t want them to see him smiling.
He went on to add that he forgot what had happened after the pastor came back to him.
The actor asserted that despite his denials, he was the one in the encounter videos and that there is depth in the universe.
