Grace Makun, the wife of Yomi Casual, has encouraged May Edochie, Yul Edochie’s first wife, to alter her last name on Instagram.
After May used her page to consider the year 2023 and declared it had stolen her flesh and blood and put her in the worst possible condition, she offered the advice.
Yul’s surname is on her profile even though the businesswoman and the actor are no longer together due to the actor’s marriage to Judy Austin, a colleague; they have not yet filed for divorce.
The 16-year-old son of May and Yul, Kambiichukwu, passed away terribly the previous year after passing away during a school football match.
May posted a worship video on her Instagram account on Monday, expressing the devastation and grief that this year has brought.
“Dear 2023, you were pregnant on the first day of January without anyone knowing what you would give birth to,” she wrote. You handled me in the most disastrous ways possible.
I have experienced far too many hardships and sorrows, and to top it all off, you took my own flesh and blood, leaving me in a condition of devastation, misery, and confusion beyond my wildest dreams.
I was so full of questions that I almost gave up, but I could always hear that voice saying, “Who am I to question God?”
I fought so hard, holding fast to God’s instructions that we should give Him praise in every condition we see ourselves in despite how difficult it is. Truly, I appreciate all the good people you made me cross paths with (my family, friends, strangers turned friends and my online family)
The list of names would be too long to begin, but I want you all to know that I will always be grateful for the extraordinary amount of love and support that my family and I received during our most trying moments.
To put it another way, I’m thankful that God Almighty exists in my life and that man is not God. I bid you farewell for all time in the year 2023 and welcome the new year 2024, singing my song and living a life of gratitude, forgiveness, and devotion to God.

In response, Grace stated that removing her estranged husband’s family name and adopting her own is the first step in her healing process.
